Youth for Social Development (YSD) is a local grass root non-governmental organisation working on issues of governance, child rights and youth empowerment, and climate justice in Odisha since 2007.

It has designed innovative tools and models that resolved the most pressing societal and development challenges through successful piloting and by scaling-up cutting-edge interventions. YSD's work is based on evidence building and involves a mix of empirical work and strong advocacy. YSD pioneered innovative child-led development models, including its Child-Friendly City model, its Child-Friendly Gram Panchayat programme, and its Child-Friendly Constituency model, all of which work to ensure holistic development of children and ensure children’s right to survival, development, protection and participation.
