Chilanga Youth Awake (CYA) - Zambia is a women-led, youth-focused, not-for-profit NGO founded in 2003. CYA started as group initiative of local young women from Chilanga area who saw it important to mobilize in response to the district escalating HIV/AIDS situation by addressing the underlying causes.

CYA envisions a healthy nation where young people are actively engaged in community life and have access to the resources needed to develop their potential. Our mission is to work with young people, youth, the community and all levels of government to increase the participation and contribution of young people in health, civic and social-economic matters.
