Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child

SPARC was registered in December 1992 as a non-profit organization under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It has national jurisdiction and certified by Pakistan Center for Philanthropy. SPARC Board of Directors comprises of committed professionals who govern the organization and give leadership to SPARC’s strategic positioning. The Executive Director leads with a management team and is responsible for the organization’s operations.

Over the years, SPARC has been able to increase its activities and expand its outreach at the national level through expanding its donor base. SPARC is a member of regional networks including Forum Asia Executive Committee, South Asia Initiative to End Violence against Children (SAIEVAC), Pakistan Chapter of International Criminal Court (PICICC) and Defense for Children International. SPARC has consultative status with the United Nations ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and the UN Department of Public Information (DPI). SPARC is one of the key NGOs working on issues of violence against children across Pakistan.
