Regional Network of the Children and Young People Trust

RNCYPT is a child- and youth-led organisation founded in 2012 to advance and promote the participation of children and young people in governance and other related issues that affect them. The organisation’s history goes back to 2008, when Save the Children established and supported child-led groups in Zimbabwe to advance child participation across a number of child-related programmes.

Thirty-four child-led Initiatives, including child-led groups and junior councils, were established across Zimbabwe. These groups focused on increasing child participation and promoting child rights and child-led advocacy and lobbying. The 34 child-led groups formed the Zimbabwe National Coordination of Child Led Groups (ZNCCLG).
