Philomera Hope Center Foundation

Philomera Hope Center Foundation is a fully registered charity in Uganda that seeks to empower, inspire and prepare vulnerable people with specific emphasis on adolescent girls and young women between 10-24years through livelihood support programs, WASH, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and support education to help them make informed choices /decisions about their health, lives and bodies and hence live life up to their full potential.

Through Advocacy, we also enhance Meaningful Youth Participation to enable young people to influence policies and programs aimed at them. We now work in five districts in central Uganda and we have so far provided two Girls Empowerment Centers where such are taught vocational skills such as tailoring, bakery, making confectioneries, arts and crafts, hairdressing and computer literacy to help and enable such decently employ themselves. We aim to curb down the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, teenage and unwanted pregnancies, child marriages and all forms of violence against children most especially the girl child. We basically aim to provide safe spaces for our target community. We are partners of SRHR Alliance Uganda, National Coalition of Human Rights Defenders-Uganda, Sanitation and Water for All and Girls not Brides Alliance.
