Padang Relief Society

Founded in 2005, Padang Relief Society is committed to assist the most vulnerable communities in South Sudan. Padang is the Dinka (South Sudanese tribal language) word for different peoples coming together to fulfil a common goal.

Padang Relief Society is registered in both Canada and South Sudan, with headquarters in Vancouver, Canada and a field office in Malakal, South Sudan.

Their objectives are as follows: to provide health care facilities to those most in need; to provide educational facilities to those most in need; to provide worship facilities; to provide water and sanitation to those in need; to promote child protection systems; to strengthen agricultural development; HIV/AIDS awareness; emergency relief.

Besides the support of its overseas projects, Padang Relief Society is providing settlement services to African immigrants and refugees in the Lower Mainland in British Columbia, Canada.
