Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs (KAFOP)

Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs (KAFOP) is a non-profit organisation that exists to respond to the plight of vulnerable children in Uganda. It works with children, families, Institutions and communities to end injustice to children and Adolescent people.

It is KAFOP’s mandate to ensure children in Uganda enjoy their rights, are protected and cared for, and have equal opportunities to realize their full potential. To achieve this, KAFOP will work tirelessly to end violence against children in Uganda through programs in community outreach, education, advocacy, psycho-social and legal support.

The key objectives of our Child Protection Program:

I. To increase awareness on the negative effects of sexual violence and influence change on related policies

II. To protect children and increase community response to any harmful forms of violence against children

III. To increase psychosocial and legal support for children

IV. Increased enrolment, retention and achieved learning outcomes of children in schools

V. Reduced number of children especially girls getting married before the age of 18.

KAFOP is registered with NGO Board under registration number INDR 109992814NB and permit number of operation INDP108492814NB; KAFOP has a secretariat in Fort Portal Tourism City and other field offices in Bunyangabu, Ntoroko and Kamwenge Districts respectively.
