Instituto Brasiliana

Brasiliana Institute, created in 2010, formed with the initial objective of promoting education and the culture, especially related to Brasiliana thematic, term established by the notable bibliophile Rubens Borba de Moraes, that encompasses collections of pictures, books, objects, images and documents related to Brazil over the more than 500 years of its history. From the end of 2015, the Institute also moved to understanding Brazilian problems, especially in major cities, the right to the city, seeking reflections on how to act in the direction of the re-significance of areas of vulnerability from the appropriation of cultural potential and collective memory, strengthening the localities and their communities, having created a specific axis of action on the guarantee of children's rights, early childhood, gender and urban development.
