Hold My Hands Women and Youth Foundation (HHWYF) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that was conceived in the year 2013. It was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria on the 8th of June 2016. The organisation is in partnership with other governmental and non-governmental organisations to implement school, health and community-based projects. Our partners include United Network of Young Peace Builders (UNOY), World Youth Foundation, Institute of Corporate Administration (ICAD), Accept International Japan, Junior Chambers International (JCI), Child Care and Adult Protection Initiative (CCAPI), Supporting Women and Children in Africa (SWACIA) Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (CYPAN), and Young African Leadership Network (YALI), Abuja.

We work mainly in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) but have also implemented school-based projects in Ebonyi and Nasarawa states. We are actively involved in the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in Nigeria. The organization has implemented projects in the areas of peacebuilding, women and gender-based violence, child abuse, female genital mutilation (FGM), teenage pregnancy, forced early child marriage and other harmful traditional practices affecting girls and women in Africa. In partnership with our principal partner the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hold My Hands Women and Youth Development Foundation has recorded huge success in the areas of gender advocacy on the dangers of early child marriage, child rights, female genital mutilation FGM/C, teenage pregnancy and other harmful traditional practices affecting girls and women in Africa. This has been achieved through campaigns, workshops and sensitization exercises in Nasarawa state, Ebonyi and Abuja. Vision To have a society where vulnerable women and children are safe, protected, empowered and educated Mission To work towards the elimination of all kinds of abuse against women and children through community outreach programs such as evidence-based research, advocacy, peace building, and health intervention programs, trainings and empowerment through micro credits facilities.
