Christian Outreach Justice Mission Sierra Leone

Christian Outreach Justice Mission Sierra Leone otherwise referred to as Comin-SL. It is a non-political and non-profit human rights Para-Church organization that exists to help, provide socio-economic and spiritual needs of the people and communities being served for their holistic development. The organization is registered with the government of Sierra Leone through the Corporate Affairs Commission and has the Certificate of Tin registration. Comin-SL was formed in July 2005, when the eleven years devastating war in Sierra Leone was declared to be over to work for rebuilding the lives and infrastructure of the country that was destroyed during the warring period. Comin-SL envisions a society where all the people, everywhere, receive fair treatment, equal opportunities to realize their full potentials.

The mission is to work with communities in Sierra Leone to improve upon their socio-economic conditions. We forge partnerships with like-minded and other organizations in order to achieve this goal. Since its inception, Comin-SL has received national and international support to work with communities on health and education projects, rehabilitation and construction of schools, rehabilitation and humanitarian assistance to disabled persons, donation of assorted humanitarian items to institutions and needy people, psycho-social counselling for trauma healing, vocational skills training for empowerment of women and girls, water and sanitation promotion and support to sporting events for children and young people with a view of building peace, unity and cohesion in communities in Sierra Leone.

The structure of the organization comprises of eight qualified staff and three volunteer members. It also has seven members board of trustees who oversee the management and administration to ensure effective delivery for achieving positive results hence maintaining accountability and transparency. For the purpose of partnering with an organization, we are already partnering with Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) based in Nairobi for coordinating activities in Africa, and the Day for Prayer and Action for Children, all aimed at promoting and protecting the rights of children worldwide etc.
