CELCIS, University of Strathcylde

CELCIS is comprised of a team of professionals in child protection and alternative care based in the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. CELCIS is a non-governmental agency that works internationally, supporting policy and practice for those who work with and on behalf of children at risk who have lost or are in jeopardy of losing parental care. CELCIS works in partnership with national governments, local authorities, international bodies and non-governmental organisations as well as others working in child protection and child care. CELCIS works to understand the issues, introduce the best possible practice and help develop solutions. What's more, to achieve effective, enduring and positive change, CELCIS takes an innovative, evidence-based improvement approach. CELCIS has for 13 years played a central role in developing and delivering education, consultancy, research and policy development to the child protection and ‘alternative care’ sector.
