Asia Lanka Social Development Co-operation (ALSDC)

Asia Lanka Social Development Cooperation (ALSDC) was established in 2001 registering under NGO secretariat. ALSDC is managed and decisions are taken by a Director Board (consists of 9 members). As an organization ALSDC has been conducting many activities and projects related to social development. Our areas of work have spread over the fields of livelihood development, social cohesion, religious co-existence, social co-existence, peace and reconciliation, social rehabilitation, resettlement, fresh water and sanitation, disaster management, disaster risk reduction, environmental conservation, HIV prevention, pre-childhood development, capacity building and awareness raise.

We are mainly based in the Kalutara and Colombo Districts and apart from that we are conducting our projects in Ratnapura, Galle, Matara and Hambantota. We have a well- qualified staff with 10 years’ experience working on projects over Kalutara, Galle, Hambantota, and Colombo Districts. They are versatile to work collectively and collaboratively with the local an international individual organizations and as well as foreign networks. The employees of ALSDC are enriched with the knowledge and capacities since they have already gained the trainings locally and internationally. Thus, they are dexterous in work with grass-root communities as well as the higher officials with a good coordination.
