The recent Leaders’ Statement, Violence Against Children: A Hidden Crisis of the COVID-19 Pandemic, called for an urgent and unified global response to protect children from the heightened risk of violence as part of the broader response to COVID-19.
During an upcoming virtual event, you will hear global and national perspectives on how governments, the UN system and civil society organisations are responding to this challenge, along with what they are learning and what policy and programmatic approaches need to be prioritized.
It will also be an opportunity to hear about the immediate challenges organisations are facing, and to better understand the support partners need so that they can best respond to the Call to Action in the Leaders’ Statement. There will be significant time for all participants to make comments and ask questions.
